Members are the Glue

Letter from 10/29/17

HELLO,

This week went by so fast and can't believe I am sending another email.
This week was filled with some meetings and some lessons and some funny things and always studying.

During the week we have a lot of meetings. We have meetings on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays usually. They are good. We talk a lot about what we can do to improve the missionary work here. Also we talk about the people who we are teaching and who we could teach.

We had some lessons this week. We teach a lot of recent converts who have been baptized within the year. We also have to contact a lot of people via phone when they can't meet. So that's fun. Practicing my Vietnamese.

Also some funny things that happened. We met these men and child who were from California. They were coming back from something? But we were talking to them and the little boy says to his uncle "why does she look so different" talking about me. Haha So my companion said " because she is Chinese" They were like ohhhhh.. So yes, Asians do look different! haha.

Also this week we got to take an hour bike ride to a member's house. We got lost a little and went over some bridges. haha. My legs hurt. Then we were able to talk and able to see what they needed and if they needed help with their callings. Literally members are the glue to the church. Without members there would be nothing. They plan everything. Keep it up! The members of the church are all so faithful and do so many great things for the church!!! Wahoooo

Love,

Those that know Hope are not at all surprised that about half of her photos are about food....
Here they made so much pho, they had to eat out of serving bowls.

These pics are aimed at an Elder that is not fond of fruits and veggies. 😄
(I want copies Hope)

Happy to find an member's home after getting lost.

Another baptism...of FIVE!!!
