February 4, 2018 Hello! This week I finally had a full week in my new area. Really good area, but we have to bike a lot more than Quan Sau. haha. We have to bike to the church and plan in travel time, which is very new to me. This week was very busy. We had to fly to Hanoi for a meeting and then exchanges for a couple of days, so we were trying to meet with all of our investigators before we left. We have 3 investigators we are focusing on and really trying to get them to come to church. In Hanoi, we went to a meeting with President Hassell and other missionaries and talked about prepping for the new missionaries to come in and other business... (We were also able to have tacos  which was a great thing!) After our meeting we had to do exchanges with the other sisters. It was really fun and really good to see other missionaries that I have served with too. Also in Hanoi it is FREEZing cold! I finally used my coat because it is like a mid fall changing to winter feeling up there. Real

Feelin' the Love

January 21, 2018 Hello everyone! This week was really crazy. We had a lot of appointments and we got 2 new investigators! This week we had FHE and they did western dancing. Everyone really liked it and loved learning about the American culture. Even though we could not dance, we really enjoyed talking to our investigators and helping out. This week we got 2 new investigators. They are both Em's, which essentially means they are younger than us. They are really interested and are learning a lot from us. They are people who don't really know anything about God, so we are taking it slow with them. We were worried they wouldn't get along with everyone but they got along with each other. Perfect because they are the same age. Also met with Chi Mai and Chi Quynh, who both have baptismal dates. It's so cool to see them develop and grow in the gospel and to see them have and grow the light of Christ. Chi Quynh said to us that she has seen a really big change in her l

Happy New Year!

January 7, 2018 Hello! Happy New year! I have officially hit 6 months on the mission! Ahhh crazy to think how fast time flies. If anybody wants to remember me eat a burger this week and send me a picture! Haha! So last week I wrote about how we went to Mekong Delta! Really fun to get to know the zone better and have a day of normalcy. (is that a word?) Really sad to hear that President Monson passed away this week. He is resting peacefully hopefully with our security guard. This week our security guard for the church had a stroke and then walked to the hospital and passed away there shortly after. Hopefully President Monson is teaching him the gospel in the spirit world! This week we went to Thủ Đức for exchanges. Really good learning experience and nice being able to explore a new area. We were able to teach Em Phương and her family a little about the gospel. Em Phương is already a member but her parents are not. It was really good. Then we went back to the house and studied and went

December 24, 2017 Merry Christmas! --- Chúc mọi người giáng sinh vui vẻ! Hope every one's Christmas is filled with great joy. I don't have a lot of time to write a long email, but hope everyone has a great holiday!! This week was filled with many miracles. This week we got 4 new investigators. 2 were referrals from a member and then 2 were from English class. We have been very blessed to have to opportunity to teach these people. This week we were reminded of the true meaning of Christmas as we got to participate in a Branch nativity. It was a neat experience to hear of the Savior's birth while doing something together as a branch. The savior was born for us to fulfill God's plan. I hope you enjoy the Christmas holiday and were able to do the 25 days of Christmas! I know that me and my companions have been trying to do it and it's been a blessing. Merry Christmas! Love, Chi Mỹ Sister Nelson "Angels and Mary" Branch Christmas Party Branch

December 10, 2017 Xin Chào Everyone, Hope everyone's week was great. My week was very busy with lessons and meetings, just the usual. One thing that happened last week that no one may care about, but we spent 1.5 million Đông on food last week. That is really expensive compared to my last companion. haha. Many great things happend this week: So usually in the week, we don't ride our bikes often. We are blessed to be in an area where everything is very close, but this week we got the opportunity to take a bike ride to a different District to go visit someone. The bike ride was almost 2 hours but it was totally worth meeting with this sister. She is a sister of one of the Missionaries here serving in our mission. Her name is Chị Quyên. She is really nice and really wants to learn more about the gospel because she has seen the change it has made in her sister's life. We are hopefully going to continue to meet with her after her business trip to Hanoi. Also this we

We Teach, They Baptize

November 26, 2017 Hello Everyone! This week was a pretty awesome week. This week was the last full week for my trainer before she returns to her home. She has been the hardest worker to the end of her mission! Her mom is so excited for her to come home! Last P-day we were able to go to a Senior couples house and have a little Thanksgiving dinner. It was cool to see some missionaries and talk about what we are grateful for. It was a little different Thanksgiving with the food being unlike the usual. We had to Asian style it. haah This week for family home evening, we had the opportunity to watch 17 miracles. Thankfully it was in English with some Viet Subtitles. It was great to watch the sacrifices people made so we can have the gospel. Very cool! We have a great heritage. To end the week, we were able to have a baptism. Chị. Dương was able to be baptized and it was a very cool experience. We met her at English class and at first she was not interested, but then in our spi
