Miracles in Growth and Elevators

Xin Chào Everyone,
Hope everyone's week was great. My week was very busy with lessons and meetings, just the usual. One thing that happened last week that no one may care about, but we spent 1.5 million Đông on food last week. That is really expensive compared to my last companion. haha.
Many great things happend this week:
So usually in the week, we don't ride our bikes often. We are blessed to be in an area where everything is very close, but this week we got the opportunity to take a bike ride to a different District to go visit someone. The bike ride was almost 2 hours but it was totally worth meeting with this sister. She is a sister of one of the Missionaries here serving in our mission. Her name is Chị Quyên. She is really nice and really wants to learn more about the gospel because she has seen the change it has made in her sister's life. We are hopefully going to continue to meet with her after her business trip to Hanoi.
Also this week we met a potential investigator. We don't really have opportunities to go contacting, so we try and make conversation in the elevator at every opportunity we get. His name is Anh Ninh. He says he has seen me and my other companion around and is really interested in the happiness the gospel brings for families. Perfect, families and happiness! Like I said earlier we don't knock on doors, but Anh Ninh knocked on our door to see when we can meet. The Lord knows everything. Another miracle happened too. Anh Ninh wasn't able to come to church this week because of his work, but we were walking back from the Church and ran into his family. We were able to take him to the church and let him look around. The Lord is always preparing a way for people to learn and be ready to hear the gospel.
Also for the past 4 weeks we have been trying to meet with a recent convert/ less active name Chị Tiên. A member of a different branch was able to help us and set up an appointment and we were able to talk a little bit about faith and continuing to come to church. We hope to continue to work with her. She was my first member I met at Sacrament Meeting.
We had many great miracles this week and are very blessed to be serving in Vietnam! Can't wait to hear about everyones Christmas! Keep Lighting the World with acts of service everyday. Even if they are simple, we are still becoming like the Savior everytime we do service. Everyone go LIGHT THE WORLD!

Hello!
We finally had transfers and some big changes! To begin, my trainers went home and I became a trainer. Ahhhhh SOS. I am still in the same area of Quận Sáu with two new companions. One sister came to Vietnam the same time as I did except from the Philippines MTC. Her name is Thúy An. The next one is straight out of the MTC named Mai. They are both wonderful and very caring. We have been very busy teaching many people.
This week was sad and happy. To begin with sad, I had my last p-day with Kim Thư. We also had district p-day and played Ping pong! So much fun. Then I had to say goodbye to her.
Then on a happy note, I got two new companions! They are both great! Thúy An is full Vietnamese and from Colorado. Mai is half Vietnamese and half Nicaraguan (somewhere in south america?) ((Oh Hope...SMH)) They both have the same sounding last name. Their last names are Lee and Le. So Nelson, Lee, and Le. That's how we do it!
Not much happened exciting this week besides transfers. Oh wait! during the transfer call, they announced the creation of a new zone. Now there are two zones here in the south. There is a West and an East zone. I don't really know which one I am in, but.... I am in one of them.
This week we got a new investigator. Her name is Chi Mai. Yes just like our companion. Her mother in law was just recently baptized named Cô Cúc. She has seen a great change in her mother in law's life and wants that for her life. We taught her last night and she had so many question about the church and other churches.
Sorry kinda short...
Love,

Belief is the reason we go on a mission. It is the motive for preaching about Christ and sharing/Proclaiming his love. Faith is understanding we are children of God and our Heavenly Father. May the definition of faith bless you in life Faith is defined again and because faith has an inherent joy it gives us a solid foundation that we finally have the peace we have been searching for.
ReplyDelete"Many believer's feed themselves on what God hasn't done. When I dwell on what hasn't happened, I create the atmosphere for the spirit of offense to arise and to thrive. When I dwell on what hasn't happened, I legitimize unbelief. I live with a sense of justification, for not believing God.
Faith in the purest sense is the ceasing of resistance. even when there's no physical evidence, when the other evidence is present. Not feeding ourselves on what God hasn't done Faith in it's purest form is the absence of resistance
Heaven is a place where everyone is celebrated, some are more honored but everyone is celebrated. All men and all women shall be judged on the light which they have received. Heaven is a permissible culture. God's nature is eternally permissible. These statements protect us from credit.
Faith in the purest sense is the ceasing of resistance, even when there's no physical evidence, when the other evidence is present. Not feeding ourselves on what God hasn't done. Faith in it's purest form is the absence of resistance. Faith doesn't deny a problems existence, it denies it's influence. He or she was someone whom aridity and desolation never disturbed for he or she had a deeply rooted, and a vigorous faith.
Now we can act as we have always dreamed. Now we can act as we have always been. Now we can step into the light and gather the sunlight instead of blocking out our possibilities. Instead of blocking out our joy. Variety will bloom in/under the sun. We can show off our best, we can enjoy other people's gifts. We can blossom where we stand upon the joy that faith provides us. Upon the joy that faith inherently has, which blossoms the entire field of flowers"
